The Buddha Hand varietal belongs to the family of Camellia sinensis var. assamica. It is famous for its shape and resemblance to the size of a human hand. This particular version is lightly oxidized and not roasted, a rare find as it is usually roasted throughout Taiwan. Enjoyed in peaceful gardens or bustling city streets, Buddha hand provides a sense of calm. Its aroma floral, like white flowers and hay. With each steeping, It’s qualities change and develop. At first floral, as its palms open it displays savory notes with vegetal overlays. This is walking on an uneven path, testing taste and a sense of self-discovery.
